ABOUT LA MAISON DE FRANCE PERTH

La Maison de France is a non-for profit organisation with members of all ages promoting all things French.

Our goals are to:

  • Promote French culture for Australian and French people

  • Create a friendly network within the French-Australian community of Perth

  • Organize intergenerational and intercultural events in a friendly atmosphere

  • Manage a Petanque club for both social and sportive competition

Members and non-members meet every first Friday of the month for our social events. In a relaxed family-like atmosphere, they share a meal, memories and an enjoyable moment. We also celebrate traditional historical and cultural dates, through special events, such as: the Bastille Day Celebration, the Epiphany, the “Chandeleur” (crepes) and also love to entertain with our dance nights, our famous picnic during summer and social games during  winter.

The Petanque Club

La Maison De France is the second oldest Petanque Club in Perth with over 30 licenced Petanque Australia players, the national body for the sport of Petanque and approximately 4 competitions a year. More info

Our History

La Maison de France (Inc) was established in 1982 by a group of French families. Its goal was to gather the French community of Perth and transmit the French culture and language to their children. Various activities and events were organized by the club. A sub division “Petanque”  was also created at that time.
